Technical Work

For some artists, I am with them every step of the way, attending rehearsals, designing the sound and lighting with their mission at the centre. 
 

For others, I take care of the time-eating tasks - balancing the soundtrack, building the lighting plan, but leave the main vision to you. 
 

And for some, I am there to push the buttons on the night, confidently bringing your design to life. 
 

How I Work

Working with Artists

My task is to listen, understand, and support the show that you are making.

 

The way I do this depends on what you need - whether I am sitting in on rehearsals, or getting to the heart of the work over a coffee. The key for me is that I know what your goal is, why the show exists.

Design

Coming from a background in creating theatre, I know how different design choices can impact a show. 

 

Sometimes, that means constant music and spectacular lighting. And sometimes, that means stripping it all back. 

 

I work with you to find the balance which brings your show to life.

On the Night

On the night, you and anyone else performing won't have to worry about a thing. The lights? Focused and ready. The sound? Tested and sharp. Let me take care of the fiddly bits.

Whether we've been working together for months, or met that night, you will feel confident knowing your tech is in my hands. ​​​

Experience

Whilst studying, I was a part of the furniture in the tech box, bringing the lighting and sound to dance shows, parties, Shakespeare, comedy,and every experimental concoction that a student can dream up. During this time, I learned to design for my own shows as well.
 

In 2025 and 2026, I took that learning to Edinburgh Fringe, working as a venue technician for the Space UK. I worked on over 30 shows every day.

Since September 2025, I've been working as a Production Assistant with Creative Crawley. This has involved working on a huge range of projects, from working crew for a fashion show, to assisting with production for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Throughout the last year, I have worked closely with several emerging artists on community and fringe shows, helping them develop their performance with a mixture of technical and dramaturgical guidance and support.

Lighting

  • Programming and operating using ETC Eos Family

  • Rigging, cabling and addressing fixtures

  • Follow-spot operation

  • Reading a lighting plan (Touring Productions)

Sound

  • Programming and operating using Xenyr Desks & QLab

  • PA, Microphone and Speaker Set Up

  • Supported Sound Checks

  • Wireless, radio and body mics

Stage Crew

  • Working at height

  • Lifting Techniques - Handling staging, flight cases, heavy objects

  • Tipping and loading trucks

  • Building and breaking truss and scaffolding

  • Flying - Hemp and Motor Controlled
